Good day!

My mom, sister, and I are going to Hongkong and Macau next week. Our arrival will be on Tuesday, 08 March 9:10pm. We will be staying at the Peninsula Hotel in TST. We plan to take the bus from HKIA to TST as it seems to be the cheapest way but I would like to know if it is safe. What bus to take from HKIA to TST and where to get off?

1. How long is the travel time from HKIA to TST?

As we are arriving late at night, we plan to have our activities on the following day. Here is our itinerary:

09 Mar - Day tour of Ngong Ping 360
Noon - 6pm Disneyland
6pm - 9pm Shopping at Citygate outlet in Tungchung.

10 Mar - Day tour of Macau
Afternoon - shop at Causewaybay and TST
Night - Avenue of Stars and Symphony of lights
- shopping at Night Market

11 Mar - Day tour at Victoria Peak
Afternoon - Shopping at Mongkok
Night - check out at Hotel

12 Mar - Departure at 1:40 am

2. Can you suggest for us to buy Octopus Card or single journey day pass instead?
3. Any suggestion for additional activities on the above itinerary?
4. Which is the cheapest and safest way to travel from the hotel to HKIA since we are leaving the hotel around 9pm?

It's safe to take bus no. A21 from HK airport to TST, adn you may get off at Nathan Road. It takes about 60 minutes. I think you planned too much on March 09 and 10, and I'm afraid that you won't have enough time to do all of that.
I think you can buy an Octopus card, since you wil stay in Hk for 4 days. You may just take Bus no. A21 from your hotel at TST to HKIA directly.

Thanks Mr. Frank!

Another question, a friend who has been in HK last month told me to use his Octopus card and just reload value to it instead of buying a new octopus card. Is that allowed?

Also, if we are to take the bus A21 from the hotel at TST to HKIA in our departure, how long will the trip be like? Our ETD is 1:40 am, around what time should we be on the bus to make it to the airport then?

I think you can use your friend's octopus card. It will take about 50-60 minutes from TST to HKIA by bus no. A21. You should be on the bus around 11 am.
