About:China Tourist Visa

Hello, i am currently in Beijing and am applying for an extention on my L visa. We have been told that it is necessary to hold a Chinese bank account containing RMB 2100 to recieve this 1 month extention. Is this true?

beijings psb will require you to have a local bank acct, try going to the province nearest beijing. ex. In shanghai the local psb does not require proof of funds

Yes, it is true. the bank account may be the proof that can cover your expense to stay in China for one more month.
