About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

Hello, I am planning on going to Yangshuo, China for the month of May to volunteer to teach English. I am going to go for 5 weeks maximum. Which VISA do I require, and if I live in Southern Ontario, would I need to go to the Toronto Consulate? How soon should I go to get it?

Thanks.

You can apply for an F visa to China from Consulate General of China in Toronto. The general processing takes 4 working days, and you can use their rush service (same day pick-up)/express service (2-3 working days) for visa processing if you need. a single entry China visa is valid for 3 months from the issue date, you can start now if you will visit China in May.
