May I know what is the business hour for shops in Xian? Also, It is safe to go out at night? thanks

Usually, these large department stores and supermarkets open from 09:00 to 22:00. The tourism shops in Muslim Street will not close until to midnight. You'd better not go out after 12:00 at night.
