I will travel to Luoyang for a few days then go to Jiaozuo for Yuntaishan, then go to Xian. Is it possible to buy the train ticket 1161 Jiaozuo-Xian (dep.Jiaozuo 23:40) at Luoyang railway station 2-3 days in advance?

According to my experience, it is not feasible. For example, you could only buy the train tickets departing from Luoyang, trains’ starting stations or train tickets back to Luoyang at Luoyang train stations. You could contact some booking agencies there or purchase the tickets in Jiaozuo.
