About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Dear Embassy members,

I am permanent resident in Japan and work for HSBC, Japan in Tokyo. I am planning to go to HK and Macau only and need to apply for a visa or special entry permission. I have several questions:
1) How I can apply to Hong Kong and Macau visa?
2) What documents required?

I need to fly on March 23 to March 27th (inclusive).

Would greatly appreciate your assistance,

Thank you,
Beck

You are required to apply for separate visas to Hong Kong and Macao, submit your applications to Chinese embassy in Tokyo. The requirements are as follows:
1. separate application forms for HK and Macao;
2. Photocopies of the bio data page and used inside pages of a valid passport/travel document.
3. Document of financial status (e.g. bank statement, deposit in savings account, tax payment receipt, employment certificate, etc.)
4. Document of transportation to HK and Macao and accommodation arrangement (e.g. round-trip air ticket and hotel room reservation receipts, etc.)
5. Proof of purpose of visit, such as:
Leisure – Tour receipt, itinerary, etc.;
6. Pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to come to hk/Macao (if any);
7. Valid entry visa or residence visa/permit of other countries or regions (if any);
8. Recent 1.5-inch full face white background color photos.
The processing takes 2-4 weeks if connection with HK/Macao Immigration for permission is necessary.
