Will my diplomatic/official passport help support my China visa application if I plan to visit Shenzhen from Hong Kong?

Good day...
I had the chance to visit China in 2007 using a diplomatic/official passport so I was exempted in getting a China visa. This May 2011, I plan to visit Shenzhen from Hongkong. Will it help if I bring my diplomatic/official passport to support my China visa application? I will be using my regular passport in this travel to Hongkong. Thank you very much.

You can still use it to enter Shenzhen with you doplomatic passport. No visa required for short stay.
