About:Slender West Lake

I am currently working in Beijing on a Z Visa (Valid till Oct. 2011) but will be resigning from my position at the end of April. Am concerned if this will cancel my current Z visa and am wondering if there is any way I can change to a different Visa type without leaving the country.

After you resign from your position, you can change your Z visa into a toursit visa (L) at your local PSB in China, and your residence permit will be canceled as well. In addition, you may required to leave before the tourist visa expires.
