About:China Railway Map

I will be visiting Beijing at the end of March. I would like to take a train to Urumqi going through the countryside and avoiding larger cities if possible, then fly back to Beijing. Is that possible?

One train T69 is available from Beijing to Urumqi, which passes by around 17 places including some towns and counties. And usually, the train route is fixed.
