About:Chinese Embassy in Switzerland

I would like to go in March to Lhasa and travel by my own bicycle to Kathmandu, Nepal. Should I expect any additional formal requirements than regular visa in order to be allowed to travel on this track?

If you apply for special tour (self-driving, hiking, cycling, horse-riding, hot air balloon, or other expeditions) to China, you should provide a visa notification form issued by China National Tourism Administration or the tourism administration of related province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government.
