About:China Business Visa

Hey everyone,

I will work 3 months in Shanghai for a French company as an Intern from June to September.
Then From September to January 2012, I will be studying in Beijing BLCU.
Eventually, I will get another internship from January to June 2012 in a Chinese company.

The total period is June-11 June-12 ... During this year period, I would like to travel around south east asia.

What would be the easiest way to handle the visas for my case ? Type/Period ?
Concerning the required documents, what happens if I don't know yet when I will come back (maybe not over a year) and where will I stay .. ?

Thanks !

Thanks M Milles!

What about the documents required issue :
I won't book a flight back before I leave...
I won't know where I will be staying at since I will find right there the apartment and I will change cities ...

How the officers are gonna react ?
By the way, what are the stakes if the officers refuse a first VISA Application (In the case Im applying for a 1 year, I need to ask for a : F Visa - Multiple Entry - 12-Month Validity ? or is the 12 months validity just the period of time I have before the Visa expire to use it ? Because I thought that F Visa were for a 6month purpose ? In my case it'd be 9 to 12 months ... ?)

Thanks again anyway!

Thank you very much !
I will work out something then with the roundtrip as well as hotels!

May I ask one last question : if, because of workload, I need to stay like 2 or 3 months straight in China before I can travel around again ... What happens with the Stay duration .. ? Would I have to go back and forth just to comply with "Stay duration" of 30days max ?! People are committed to do tourism ^^ ?

Thanks again anyway !
Have a good one!

in your situation, you can try to apply for a one year multiple entry business visa to China, providing the detailed documents or itinerary. However, if the visa officers refuse to issue you a multiple one, you can re-apply business visa in Hong Kong for next few months if necessary. If you are in France now, you can start your visa processing in April or May from Chinese embassy/consulate. For more, you can refer to https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/france.htm

Hi, sir, you have to provide the round trip ticket and hotel reservations in China if you want to get a visa. For hotel reservation, it is ok if you can just provide for first few nights. Otherwise, your visa application will not be acceptable by visa officers. 12 months validity means that your visa will valid for 12 months from issue date, and you can enter China for many times during this period with certain days stay each entry.

It will be no problem if you will get a visa with 90 days each entry. Or if you get a visa with less duration, you can just go through the control and return again without actually leaving China to activate the duration of next entry. Or leaving for HK counts an exit.
