About:Embassy & Consulate of Indonesia in China

Dear, consular. I am Mega. I am an Indonesian, and stay in Japan now for one year until this August. I would like to go to Shanghai on this March. I will enter Shanghai from Taiwan. I only one day in Shanghai for transit flight (from Taiwan to Japan).I would like to have a little one day travelling in Shanghai. Because I will be only day there, do I need visa or kind of permission letter to entering Shanghai?(if so how could I get it?).Thank you in advanced. Have a nice day :)

Yes, you need a China Transit Visa to enter Shanghai. You can apply for it from China embassy/consulate in Japan which holds consular jurisdiction over the place where you reside;
