About:China Transit Visa

I am a citizen from Panama, that lives in Taiwan and I want to fly through Guangzhou to LA, do I need a transit visa if the time I will be in transit is only 5 hours?

A transit visa is not required if you hold a through ticket and have booked seats on international airliners and will stay in a transit city for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.
