About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am an American teaching ESL in Seoul, South Korea. I am confused by the Visa regulations on whether or not I can travel to Beijing, China with out six months left on my Alient Registration Card. I have heard both answers. Can you please clarify this for me. Any information would be great! Thank you!

If your ARC is valid for less than 6 months, you can submit your applicaiton to Chinese consulate in Pusan through a travel agency appointed by it. Chinese embassy in Seoul and other Chiense consulates in SK require 6 months ARC for visa application to China. There is also another option for you: to apply China visa in Hong Kong where you are exempted from visa for entry. Visa fee is less than that you do in SK.
