hi, would traveling day tour from taipei to kaohsiong be sufficient, what time do i depart, what are the places to visit?

You'd better departs in the early morning. Travel to Kaohsiong, you can see Xizi Bay, Maolin Scenic spots, Foguang Mountain and Qijin Scenic spots, etc.
