I am a US Citizen who is currently traveling in Europe. I am staying with friends in Belgium at the moment. I am traveling to China from Egypt at the beginning of March (approximately two weeks) and will not be returning to the States before I leave for China from Egypt. I would prefer to apply for a Chinese tourist VISA from Belgium as opposed to Egypt. However, I don't have an identity card or work papers for Belgium as I do not work or live here. Can I still apply for a tourist VISA for China from Belgium if I have the necessary travel documents?
