About:China Student Visa

Hello,

Please can I request some urgent advice? I am currently in Malaysia, but am planning to begin a 4 month university course in Suzhou in a few days time. I have only been able to obtain a 30-day tourist visa here in Malaysia since my passport is British.

Please can you let me know if I will be able to convert this tourist visa into an F type student visa once I am in China? I am worried that the money I pay for the university course will be wasted if I cannot convert my visa.

Thank you!

It is possible for you to convert tourist visa into F visa (for student) at the Exit & Enter Department of Suzhou Public Security Bureau if the university can provide Invitation Letter and Foreign Student Visa Application Form (JW201 or JW202) issued by relevant Chinese government unit.
