I think you mean 29/3-4/4/2011. The cold weather will be ended at the end of March so a thin weater and jacket will be enough when you are in Beijing. Of course, you could come to Xi'an for a visit. Taking the express overnight train, you could arrive in Xi'an in 12 hours from Beijing. Of course, just 2 hours by air.
