About:China Transit Visa

Hi - I am a US citizen and traveling on United Airlines to Beijing and then connecting to India on China Airlines. I have a layover of 5hrs at Beijing. Do I need a transit visa and if so can I get it at the Airport?

Thanks for your response.

You don't need a transit visa if you remain in the airport during the 5 hours layover. You can't leave the airport.
