About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

Hi again, I went to the Chinese Consulate in Dubai and they told me that I need to apply for Hong Kong visit visa directly which means that I have to send my original passport along with the other documents to the immigration office in Hong Kong, I just want to confirm is this the right procedures? is there any other option?

Thanks.

Dear Sir,
I am Syrian, working in UAE for more than 6 years, and now i am planning to visit Hong Kong for one week before going to Philippines.
I am going there along with my wife holder of Philippino passport, can you please advice us on what do we need to do? and what kind of visa do we required?
Regards,
Yousef

Yes, it is the right procedure if the consulate doesn't accept your application, you have to submit your application directly to Immigration Department in Hong Kong.
