About:Hohhot

HI,

I am an Indian citizen, living in Pune/Mumbai. I am offered a long-term employment opportunity in Shanghai for which I need to travel next month. Could somebody help me with the process or steps involved in getting my visa stamped over passport so that I can travel without any problem.

Thank You.

Hi,

You will have to first submit all the relevant documents for your work permit processing through your employer in China. You need to undergo a full medical check up from a GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL ONLY - or you can get a check up done from a private hospital and then the same needs to be signed by a GOVT DOCTOR.
Once you submit the documents along with the medical documents you will get a work licence which will be sent to India. You can travel with that to China and within 3 weeks of landing in China you need to submit the work licence along with the passport and necessary documents to the Chinese Embassy to get the Work Permit Stamped in your passport. If you have some clarification pls call me at 99019 33744- ( i was in Beijing for two years)

You need to apply for a work (Z) visa from CVASC in Mumbai before leaving for Shanghai. The requirements can be reached if you click Work visa (Z) link in the table on this page.
