Hello all, I am hoping to marry my fiancee in Tianjin in October. Whilst I love China, do I really need to take 6 weeks off work to marry my lovely lady only I doubt I will be able to get 6 weeks leave! Please advise

To get married in China, you can enter China with an L visa, with all required documents well prepared, the processing normally takes well under one hour, sometimes as little as 15 minutes. You will either be given you marriage certificate as you leave or you might be asked to collect it in a few days from the Civil Affairs Bureau.
