About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Hi, Hope you can help with some forward planning. I am marrying my Chinese fiance at the end of 2011. We wish to spend most of each year in China with a couple of trips for a month or two each time back to Australia. I will not be working in China at all, but wish to simply reside with my wife. Consequently I would like to apply for a temporary resident visa for 1yr (or more if possible) and obviously will have to re-new ongoing. Do I obtain my F 3month visa, of which I have frequently had over the last 2 yrs .. enter and then apply for 1yr temp res visa? Or is there any other way that I can obtain a long term resident visa as she is Chinese and we will be married? Lastly do you have a list of suitable agencies who can act on my behalf when applying if this has to be done in China? Many many thanks ... grt site!

Mr.RETRORIVER, after married to a Chinese citizen, it is possible for you to apply for one year residence permit for family visit at the local Exit & Enter Department of Public Security Bureau, however, maybe the visa official will refuse to issue you 1 year residence permit for the first/second time, but you can have a try! I know that some aliens in the same situation as you only get a L visa.
