About:China Visa Application in USA

I am in the process of going to China to get married. If I go ahead and get my Visa now, how long will it be good before it expires if I am unable to leave yet?

It will be good for 3 months before it expires for a single entry visa. A single-entry visa shall be valid for 3 months and double-entry visa for 6 months.
