About:

I need some information abt buying train ticket for Lijiang to Kunming, can I buy it online? Prices? Seat categories? I try to avoid a long queing in the station and most important I want to make sure my traveling plan will work well. tks

Yes, you can buy it online, but there is no offical ticket booking website of the train ticket. You need to book it through the website of some travel service, such as this web: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ . The price is CNY227 for soft sleeper and CNY153 for hard sleeper.
Well, if it is not the peak tourist season, you can buy the ticket after arrival in Lijiang one day before you leave for Kunming. The bus from Lijiang to Kunming is also easily got.
