About:Chinese Embassy in India

Hi,
I will be travelling from Delhi to Shanghai for 7 days for business purpose. I am an Indian citizen. Is it mandate to have a health insurance prior applying for Visa?

It is not mandatory to have a health insurance prior applying for China visa, you can fill N/A for the items on the Visa Application Form.
