About:Bao'en Temple Pagoda

Hi,

I arrived in Hangzhou in early December 2010 on an F Visa. My F Visa will expire at the end of February and I need to know the process to go to Hong Kong in order to apply for a Z visa.

My company is taking care of the necessary documents, but I would like to double check before I make the trip to Hong Kong. Please let me know what I need to bring with me as well as the normal processing time.

Your company should give you the below documents which are the most important documents for China work visa application:
1. Original and copy of invitation letter of Duly Authorized Unit for Visa Application, such as Foreign Affairs Office.

2. Both original and copy of Alien Employment License issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, or Foreign Expert Work Permit issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China.

It takes 4 working days for visa processing, if you submit application on Monday, you can collect your visa and passport on Thursday.

Dear Mrs. Linda,

Thanks for the information. Where do I go in Hong Kong to have the z visa processed? I know that before you could either go to China Travel Service in the airport or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the WanChai District. Is that still the case?

Is there an express service like a 1 day service available? And how much is the fee?

yes, you can also go to the two places you listed to apply for Z visa, the 1 working day processing service is not available, it takes at least 2 working days even though you apply for rush service. The visa fee is HK$150, the Rush Service fee is HK$250, the total fee is HK$ 400. If you submit application to China Travel Service in the airport, you also need to pay service fee

The normal processing time is 4 working days
