About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Hi, I am a Singaporean and planning to meet a friend in China to travel to Lhasa, Tibet (for sight seeing). However, many friends told me I cannot go by free and easy and I must join a tour group. Is it true? I understand that I must also apply for visa. Can I ask the travel agency to apply for me? Hope to get some advise.

It's true that you have to join a tour group, only Travel Agency in China can get the Tibet Travel Permit for you, individuals can't get the document. You can contact a China travel company to arrange the Tibet Travel Permit for you by paying fee. Then you can travel to Tibet by yourself.
