Question

I am a Canadian citizen going to teach English in China. I have done a work visa here in Toronto multiple times. This time the bureau in Shenyang, Liaoning, is asking for a medical report stamped by the consulate in here. They have never required this before. I have always done it in China. The consulate does not know about any recognized hospitals (I went and asked) here in Toronto. Does anyone know exactly which tests are required?Thanks for any help.

You can download the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner from this website https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/pdf/physical.pdf then go to a major hospital in Toronto to do the medical tests

Mr.John Saunders, according to your experience, China governmental office applies China visa rule differently, I have obtained a work visa in London, the medical examination is not required, when I apply for 1 year Temporary Residence Permit at Shenzhen Exit & Enter Administrative Bureau of Public Security Bureau within 30 days after I enter Shenzhen by holding Z visa, I need to show the Medical Examination Record for Foreigner made by Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. Even though I did the medical examination in London, I have to do it again at the Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. therefore, the medical examination stamped by the embassy in London is not required. I guess that the medical examination you obtained in Toronto has to be certified again by Shenyang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau
