About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

Hi I'm Cumai, a Syrian national with UAE residence visa, I,m planning to take a vacation in China for approximately 1-2 weeks by the end of this month (February 2011) but my passport is about to expire on the 30th of July 2011. Meaning my passport validity is less than 6 month. Could this be acceptable despite of this issue, please advise me I'm going to pursue my visit visa application.
Thank you.

You may need to renew your passport first before you apply for a visa to China.
