About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Hello,

I am Indian citizen holding an Indian passport - no: J4157575. My partner, Neil Lumsden (British) and I moved to Hong Kong from London in September 2010. He was moved to work with HSBC and I was granted a six month visa based on our relationship. Visa number: E 489419, permitted to remain in Hong Kong until 25th May 2011, multiple entries.

My partner and I would love to visit your wonderful country and learn more about its culture and people. However, I was informed that I have to apply from my home country - India, since it will be my first visit to China. However, I have no plans to visit India any time soon and will be going to England in May and returning to Hong Kong for a further six months after that.

My partner and I really wish to explore and do weekend breaks to see the many things we have read about China or only seen in films. I would please like to know if there is any way I could apply in Hong Kong and what is the procedure for the same. Your help will be much appreciated.

regards
Ayesha . S

Ms.Ayesha, sorry to tell you that you have to return to India to apply for China visa, Indian citizens are banned from applying for a China visa in Hong Kong unless they are working or living in Hong Kong (Hong Kong work visa or Hong Kong ID card is required to show)because it is the first time to you to apply for China visa.
