About:Facts of Xian

Hi!!!

I am coming to visit and waanted to know if there is any transpotation around Xian.

Well, airplane, train, bus and taxi are available around the city. The subways are under construction.

Diane, Easy walking in the city of Xi'an, especially within the city wall. Taxis and buses also, but it is a little difficult if you do not speak much Mandarin. Costs for either is very cheap. I always prefer walking if the weather is nice. Depending on the hotel you stay at, the staff can be somewhat helpful. Hope that helps.

i do not speak madarin but i do speak spanish....that might be a problem though!!!

Hi Ms. Diane, I think you could take easy. The tourism area of the city is not very large, so highly recommend you to take taxi shuttling between places. You just have to write down your destinations and othe requirements on a card in Chinese and show it to the drivers, who will understand you easily. On the other hand, you could take a bilingual map when taking taxi. As for the airport transportation, there will be enough English signs helping you. There are lots of western visitors here everyday, so no need to worry too much:)
