About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

My husband and I would like to move to china (Beijing or shanghai)for at least one year. My husband has a degree in civil engineering and I have a certificate in engineering drafting. While in china we would like to teach English. We are looking at the TESOL courses and would like to know how many hours in a course would be required to qualify for a teaching position in china? Should we move to china with a work visa up front or should we have a 3 month holiday visa first and then apply for a work visa?

Thanks.

It is easy for you to find a English teaching job in China, but I don't know about the course itself, maybe 2 years teaching experience is required. If you have not found a school yet, you can enter China with a tourist visa, and apply for a work visa after you get a job.
