About:China Customs Declaration

I am going to china to spend some months training taijiquan. I am planning to buy 15.000 RMB.
In some websites I get the information that it is illegal to enter china with RMB cash and yet here I read that I am allowed up to 20.000.
I have gotten much information through this website and I have relied on it on my previous trips to china so what I am asking is: Can I take chinese currency in cash?

you may take 5,000 US dollars (or equivalent in any foreign currency) or 20,000 CNY in cash to enter China.
