About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

My wife and I will be traveling to China in May. She cannot accompany me to the China consulate in Chicago. Can I submit her completed application in her absence. Will I need to present her American passport? Will I need to leave my passport with my visa application?

You can apply for her China visa on her behalf from Chinese consulate in Chicago. Bring all required documents with you. The original passports are required and they will be returned to you when you pick up your visa.
