About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I entered china on a Z-visa working in Shanghai, i have a single entry visa but would like to vist Macau and Thailand. What do i need to do, and wher do i do it? your help is much appreciated! Thank You!

That is to say, you are already in Shanghai, right? you can change your Z visa into a residence permit now at your local PSB, the permit works as a multiple entries visa, so, you can exit and enter China with it any time if it is valid.
