About:Great Wall History

what kind of people built the wall were they paid workers or were they criminals? and also when one of the workers died is it true that they through thier body's in the wall.

Soldiers, common people and criminals built the great wall as a kind of compulsory service, no payment. it's said that the dead workers were just buried in the mountains near the wall.
