About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hello and thank you for taking my question.

I want to go to India on a China airlines flight, which stops in China. I know I need a visa to enter India, but do I also need a separate visa to transit through a Chinese airport?

Please help. Thank you.

Hi, from what I've read on the China Embassy website in NY, you do not need a visa if you are not leaving the special zone in the airport and you will be in transit for less than 24hours.
