About:China City Guide

Visiting Beijing March 6 staying 2 nights at Peninsula Beijing. Party of 6 people. Are Tours readily available from hotel? How far from the Peninsula Hotel are Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace. Can we walk to any of these attractions? Are there 1/2 day tours to the Great Wall?

I suggest you book a tour in advance. You can look at those Beijing tour packages on this webpage https://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/beijing.htm provided by Traval China Guide, a nice China travel service.
Well the hotel is at the center of Wangfujing shopping area, thus, it is a walking distance from the hotel to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. It is about 22km away from the hotel to the Summer Palace. I think the Great Wall worth a whole day visiting.
