About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

I am a PHD student and my wife holding a L visa (single entry) would like to visit her parents in U.S.A to participate her sister's wedding. Can she change her single entry visa to double or multiple entry, so she could come back to china after the wedding. Many thanks inadvance

It is almost impossible for your wife to change her single entry L visa into double entry L visa or multiple entry L visa. Your wife can try to apply for Temporary Residence Permit at the local Exit & Enter Department under Public Security Bureau, once she gets the Temporary Residence Permit, she can exit and enter mainland China for many times during its validity.
