About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

I will be traveling to Shi Shi in April, 2011 from Guangzhou, what is the best mode of transport I can use aside from plane to Shi Shi. If by train, should I take the train in Guangzhou Railway Station? If by bus, where do I take? And where should I take off/ Will it not be too inconvenient? Thank you

Neither train station nor airport is available in Shishi. The nearest is Jinjiang Railway Station and Jinjiang Airport. However, there are no direct trains from Guangzhou to Jinjiang. By train, you could only transfer at Xiamen and the train from Guangzhou to Xiamen departs at Guangzhou East Station. Personally, you could take flight to Jinjiang first and then take a bus to Shishi. Or, you could take a coach at Tianhe Bus Station to Shishi directly by costing around CNY230 per person.

why not guangzhou to xiamen by air then to shi shi by car
