I think 5 days 4 nights are enough for you to visit Haikou. If you have time, you may also make a side trip tour to Sanya near, where there are many attractions like Tianya haijiao, Nanshan Temple and Asian Dragon Bay.

if i would like to go sanya as well, 6d5n enough for us to travel around Haikou and Sanya? maybe i need to spend 1 day to visit my relative in Haikou.

May i know whether convenience to go there through free and easy package? rent taxi for whole day is better or it is more convenience to take taxi in Haikou? how much is the different?

The temperature in March should be above 20 degrees already. The rainy season starts from May.
