About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I will be going to Shanghai to install some equioment on a ship while it is in port. What type of visa will I require? My passport will expire in May. Should I get a visa first or get a new passport first. I am leaving in 2 weeks.

You should get a new passport first, a passport with at least 6 months remaining validity is required for China visa application.

Then you can apply for a Business Visa to China if the host ship company can send you an Invitation Letter
