About:China Visa

Hi there, I have a question. A friend of mine is going to do her placement in Beijing. Her company could not arrange her a visa notification form, and therefore she cannot get an business visa. The duration of her placement is 180 days. She is now forced to get a 90 day tourist visa. I have heared many stories that the visa extension after two times is a real pain!

Is it possible to convert her tourist visa to an business visa when she is already in Beijing and her visa is almost overdue ? I do want her to get into a lot of trouble, so what is the easiest and cheapest way for het to stay 180 days in Beijing.

With regards,

Kahan

It is possible for her to convert her tourist visa to an business visa shen she is already in Beijing and her tourist visa is almost overdue, but I'm afraid that she has to find a visa agency to do it for her. It is very complex and hard for her to convert L to F visa.

Now, is the 90 days tourist visa means 90 days stay duration after entry or 90 days validity before enter? If she is allowed to stay in China for 90 days after entry, she can try to extend her L visa for another 90 days although it is also very hard.
