About:China Tourist Visa

Hello, I am a Canadian living in South Korea with a valid ARC for over the next 6 months. I thought I read before that the embassy in Korea does not accept individual applications for tourist visas and it needs to be done through a agent? Is this true? If so, is there any recommendations on agency's? Thanks.

Yes, it is true, you need to submit your visa applicaiton through a travel agency appointed by Chinese embassy or consulate. Since you have not tell me where you reside in South Korea, you can check their official website for agancy list. The list for travel agencies in Busan is available on this site, you can refer to Busan conculate page for details.
