About:Tsim Sha Tsui

Hi,

Is it possible to visit the Giant Buddha and Victoria Peak all in one day and still have time to get back to the avenue of the stars for the symphony of lights? We would be starting out from Tsim Sha Tsui. I'd appreciate suggestions on how to plan out our itinerary for this day and information on how to get to each location.

Thanks

Yes. All those can be done in one day. From Tsim Sha Tsim, take MTR to Tung Chung via Lai King first. Then you can take Ngong Ping 360 cable or Lantau Bus 23 to Ngong Ping. The cable is open 10am. So, you can get there around 10am and then take cable to Ngong Ping, 25 minutes for single trip. 1.5-2 hours are enough to see the buddha, Polin Monastery, and a short visit at Ngong Ping bazaar. Then the same way back to Tung Chung. Take MTR to Hong Kong/Central Station. Get out and walk towards Central Pier. Take bus 15C at the Peak. Get back to Central Pier to take star ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui. You can see the Symphony of Lights on the ferry cross Victoria Harbor. Or you can take MTR from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui and then walk to Avenue of Stars. The light show is on 8pm.
