About:Chinese Embassy in India

I WANT TO APPLY FOR WORKING VISA FOR CHINA. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND HOW MANY DAYS IT TAKES TO GET ME A WORKING VISA?

GETTING WORKING VISA IS EASIER OR TOURIST VISA?
AND BOTH THE VISAS ARE VALID FOR HOW MANY DAYS?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH ONE I SHOULD APPLY FOR? I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE I WANT TO GO WITH THE ONE WHICH WILL TAKE LESS TIME AND VALID FOR LONGER TIME...

I WILL GO BACK TO INDIA IN MARCH AND I WANT TO APPLY THERE FOR VISA. SHOULD I APPLY FOR VISA IN CHINA OR INDIA, WHICH ONE WILL BE EASIER?

You are required to apply for a China visa in India. Tourist visa is easier to get but with short duration; For longer stay work visa application, you need documents from your employer from China. The processing time is the same and also the visa fee.

China work visa is valid for 3 months for a single entry with no specified duration of stay. Holders are obliged to apply for residence permit at the local public security bureau within a month after entering China. The residence permit is generally valid for 1 year.

It costs 2,000 RS. It takes 4 working days for visa processing, however, it takes months for the preparation of requirments, such as Alien Work Permit, Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit, the two documents should be provided by your employer.

It is easier to obtain a tourist visa because you can organize all requirements by yourself, for work visa application, you have to get some documents from your employer.

The tourist visa is single entry, valid for 3 months, permits 30 days stay duration, but you can't change it into residence permit.
