It is possible for the baby to live in China with his mother. Your aunt and the baby can apply for Work Visa as dependents, then change the work visa into residence permit for family visit within 30 days after entering China at the local exit & enter department. The below documents are required:
1. passports of your aunt and the baby
2. two application forms filled by your aunt for herself and the baby
3. two passport photos for her and the baby
4. birth certificate of the baby and the baby's mother to prove teh relationship
5. passport photocopy, China residence permit and work permit photocopy of the baby's mother
6. official invitation letter from a local Foreign Affairs Office in China, the company of the baby's mother can ask for help from his company which can get the invitation letter for her.
