how far is it from the Beijing airport to the Great wall of china? Could we visit the Great Wall on a 9 hour layover?

It is about 80km from the airport to Badaling Great Wall. You can go to the Great Wall for a couple of hours but the transportation will be a problem for you and it will be very expensive to rent a taxi for this trip. Perhaps you can think about going to Tiananmen Square or the Forbidden City in stead?!
