About:Chinese Greetings

How does a woman greet a chinese man when meeting on their first ever business meeting please .Also it it traditional to buy a gift for this man or is this considered bad mannered .

A meeting for business? Not necessary to give a gift at all. If you visit friends', it will be better to buy a gift.

and they sometimes bow to other people

If they see other people in China the respectful greeting is to bow to them and walk away
